Member Straw Poll Details
You've invested in our 2022 local elections with your People's PAC contributions. Now it's time to decide who to support with the funds we've collected.
Your vote via the web form on this page is a critical step in this process!
We've met with several progressive candidates running grassroots campaigns. We invited four candidates to submit funding proposals: Sarah Smith, Sam Cox, Jason Roudabush, and Paul Paulson. Two of these candidates have applied: Sarah Smith is running in our House District (53); Jason Roudabush is running for re-election as a Poweshiek County Supervisor.
In our July 2022 PAC members meeting, the members in attendance endorsed Jason's $1,000 proposal as-is and endorsed an increase to Sarah Smith's matching grant proposal from $10,000 to $25,000. These endorsements advanced the proposals to a full vote of our active members.
We will distribute our PAC funds using a straw poll process. The vote is open until midnight on Monday, July 18, 2022. We will only fund candidates who receive 2/3 or more support from active PAC members.
Thank you for your participation and your support!
